Data breaches on the rise

Data breaches are increasing, with over a billion personal records exposed every year.

Is your information out there?

People are often unaware that their information was exposed, leading to an increased risk of identity theft.

F‑Secure ID Protection

ID Protection still secures your passwords, but also helps you prevent a data breach from becoming identity theft.

Online identity theft is increasing

Online identity theft happens when a criminal gains access to your personal information and uses it to commit crime, such as taking out a loan in your name.

Identity theft can come as a surprise. If an online service you use is hacked in a data breach, your information can be stolen without you ever knowing. ID Protection alerts you if this happens.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Data breaches are on the rise, and billions of personal records are stolen from companies every year. Having strong passwords helps, but if your personal information is stolen in a data breach and you don’t act, you are at risk of identity theft.

Like KEY, ID Protection secures your passwords. In addition, it also lets you know if your information has been stolen from an online service, and what to do to prevent a data breach from turning into identity theft.

F‑Secure ID Protection helps you protect your personal information, such as usernames, passwords, and credit card numbers, by alerting you of breached online services that you are using and by giving you specific instructions on how to recover from the incident with minimum damage. All you need to do is to add the email addresses you use to log in to online services and it will monitor data breaches where your information might have leaked.

You also have a safe vault where you can store all your passwords and automatically fill those in when you log in to services in the Chrome and Firefox web browsers.

If you are using the free version of KEY, you will get a 3-month free trial for ID Protection. After the trial period you can choose from a monthly subscription starting from $4.99/month or a yearly subscription starting from $39.99/year. See more price options on ID Protection webpage. You are not obligated to buy the product after the subscription or the trial period ends.

Moving to ID Protection is free and you will get one additional month added on top of your subscription period. When your subscription expires you can choose from a monthly subscription starting from $4.99/month or a yearly subscription starting from $39.99/year. See more price options on ID Protection webpage.

The support for KEY will end August 31, 2021, and after that date the product will stop receiving important updates and fixes. We encourage you to move to ID Protection and take full advantage of the new features for identity theft prevention.

My F‑Secure is the home of your protection. It’s the place where you have an overview of all the devices that are protected under your F‑Secure subscription and can manage them.

With a My F‑Secure account, you can adapt the security to your individual needs — add or remove devices, see prices or subscription options, purchase other products, or manage parental controls.

If you already have a My F‑Secure account for Internet Security, this account is not compatible with ID Protection.

This means that for ID Protection, you must create a completely new My F‑Secure account with a different email address. You will then have two separate My F‑Secure accounts: one for Internet Security and one for ID Protection.

You can always upgrade to Total, where you would get Internet Security, ID Protection, and an unlimited version of F‑Secure VPN in one subscription and all under the same account. Read more about Total.
