CALL FOR PAPERS

FOR THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL CARO WORKSHOP

"BIG NUMBERS"

To be held in Helsinki, Finland on the 26th and 27th of May 2010.

The annual CARO Workshop brings together the world's best researchers, analysts and programmers 
in the field of computer antivirus and computer security. 

We are welcoming nominations for presentations, including but not limited to the following topics:

"Big Numbers"
Malware sample growth rates
Automated sample handling
Solving scalability problems
Sample feed profiling
Honeynet collections
Malware repository solutions
Generic detection techniques
Heuristics
HIPS solutions
Antivirus in the Cloud
Blacklisting / Whitelisting
Antivirus Performance issues
Tools and utilities

Accepted speakers are expected to deliver slides of their talk. 
Full technical papers are not mandatory.

The event is technical in nature. 
We are not looking for PR showcases or product pitches, regardless of how polished they might be.

One primary presenter per presentation will get a free entrance to the event and its social program. 
However, they do not receive other reimbursements and are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

After the conference, accepted presentations will be published on the conference website. 
However, speakers are free to decline from having their slides published.

January 31st, 2010    


Notification of acceptance or rejection: 
February 26th, 2010   


Deadline for final slides:
May 7th, 2010         


Workshop:
May 26th & 27th, 2010 



The workshop will be held in the WANHA SATAMA conference center, downtown Helsinki, Finland. 
Workshop hotel will be SCANDIC GRAND MARINA, right next door.

 

TO SUBMIT A PAPER, please submit a half-page abstract of your talk via email to: cfp@caro2010.org BY JANUARY 31ST, 2010.
